Laguna Onboarding

0.0.0.1 CARC is hosting the Laguna onboarding session on Friday, September 13.

Laguna is set up and ready to go, so the onboarding training session for Laguna is scheduled for this Friday, September 13, 1:00 – 5:00 PM PDT.

The schedule is as follows:

  • 1:00 – 1:05: Introduction
  • 1:05 – 2:05: Account management
    • InCommon federated authentication
    • User portal workflow
    • Project creation
    • Requesting allocation
    • Managing users

10-minute break

  • 2:15 – 3:45: System overview
    • Compute, GPU, and file systems
    • Software stack
    • Globus
    • Slurm

15-minute break

  • 4:00 – 5:00: Regional Computing support staff
    • User support workflow
    • Ticketing system
    • Testing

Most of the information in this training will be geared to PIs, but PIs are welcome to bring their students along, if they like. We will record the session so that anyone who can’t make it can go back and watch the presentations.
